Stealth Baby

See this baby? She is very cute and cheeky. She turned four months old just over a week ago and she is a stealth baby.

I popped her on her (beautiful handmade with love by gorgeous Kate from Picklebums) chenille rug on her back and ducked into the kitchen for a tic. When I came back this is where she was.

I am not entirely sure how she got there! She must have kind of dragged herself or slid once she got to the floorboards. She is pretty darned happy with herself no?

Her oldest brother did everything by the book. Crawled at 6 months, walked at 12. Her other two siblings took a fair bit longer for both. It would appear though that our little ever-baby didn't read the contract clause about last babies STAYING BABIES!

It's lucky she's about the cutest little button in the history of the world.

And I guess I'm about to find out just how good my floor cleaning systems really are!

  1. I, for one, am quite impressed (and can afford to be seeing as my forever baby is two already)! Mone of mine even rolled properly EVER! There were no crawlers in this house before 8.5 months at the earliest (and I was really impressed when Luey crawled that early because it was a full month before Erik crawled - Ari didn't crawl until two months after he started walking, so when he was nearly 15 months old!)...

She's still awesomely cute - especially with that "look at me go!" grin!

  2. Yes, this is what my little man is doing too! He turned 4 months last Thursday and can't stay put. My eldest daughter was just like him, had to do everything NOW and was walking by 10 months. I had hoped Jasper would be more like his second sister who was happy to take her time. Especially considering he's my last baby!
She is so very cute, though! And I love the blanket.

  3. That is one proud, happy face! My eldest walked at eight and a half months, sounds impressive but was really ridiculous! My second took until 10 months and I am really hoping that my third and last baby does not crawl, walk, roll or do anything else all "growing up" like till I am good and ready for it!
