Rule #1: Always wear long pants.
Rule #2: Always wear long sleeves.
Rule #3: Weather is irrelevant.
Rule #4: Unless it is the third Tuesday and a full moon then wear short sleeves.
Rule #5: If it is the second Sunday and a solar eclipse is possible, wear short pants.
Rule #6: Swimmers are the exception to all rules.
Sensory issues mean that clothing my son can be a tricky business. And as much as I want him to be happy, I don't feel okay about him wearing heavy trackie pants on a 30 degree day. He doesn't like stiff fabric hence the preference for trackies.
We were recently sent some relaxed roll tab lightweight jeans from Havoc Denim to try and I have to say... hallelujah!

The fabric is a lovely lightweight denim. My big 8 year old boy is wearing a size 8 and my little mate (3 but tall) is in a size 4.
The big boy loves them as they don't restrict him when he's riding his bike/scooter/motorcycle and he can have them rolled up or full length.
My little mate loves them because they are jeans.
I love them because despite the fact they are jeans, they are very light and when rolled up on the little mate allow some air to circulate around his legs!
I can say without a word of a lie that my small boy has worn his nearly every day since they arrived. Every now and then I sneak them away for washing but pretty much as soon as they're dry they are back in action.
