Bubbles

The other week I was lucky enough to be invited to a product launch. Because my life is ace like that sometimes.

I was looking forward to catching up with some ace bloggy buddies but wasn't sure what to expect from the product itself, Pedras Sabores (mineral water).

We do buy mineral waters a fair bit here. Actually I buy the flavored ones and call them soft drink. Better than the super sugared caffeinated type at least! I find them a bit sickly sometimes though and I don't love the kids having any extra sugar really.

I took three kids to the lunch, little mate had some Nanna and Grandpa time instead. And they had a blast! Face painting, playing with friends and delicious lunch at the Beachcomber Cafe in St Kilda. The big boy is still sporting his 'tattoo' and 'it didn't even hurt!'.

While they played and the babygirl cruised around we enjoyed a delicious lunch ourselves and learned a bit about Pedras. I liked it immediately, it isn't super sweet like other mineral waters and has a refreshing tartness that is great for a hot hot day.

The other thing that caught my attention is that it is low GI. I immediately thought of a diabetic family member and have since passed a couple of four packs on to her. She is really enjoying it too!

It came as a surprise to me that the big kids liked it to be honest, but a pleasant one. I'm more than happy for them to have a bottle of Pedras as their treat for the day.

Oh and if you're only here for the eye candy, here it is:

Tom Cruise eat your heart out. Or whoever it was that flipped bottles in that movie. Memory fading ;)

Does your family drink mineral waters and/or soft drinks? What are your thoughts on them for kids?
