Babes on a budget.

This is a sponsored post.

Way back when I was pregnant with the Big Boy, I discovered the overwhelming world of ‘baby things'. Some were an obvious necessity… somewhere to sleep, something to wear, some things to look at and do. Others were not so necessary but very tempting.

The world of babywear was so much fun to explore, but I realised very quickly that high pricetags weren’t indicative of better quality and that so many baby things would be outgrown very quickly.

I remember when Big W opened in my home town. It was kind of exciting to finally have some real options available and it was one place that I knew stocked well priced, quality products for my baby. The bonus of only having to go to one shop when heavily pregnant rather than haul my enormous puffy miserable ‘glowing’ self all over town was pretty awesome as well.

As our family grew so did my love of Big W. As a dedicated Bonds fan that part of the baby section was always my first port of call, followed by the rest of the baby clothes. Over the years I watched the clothing range grow and improve while the quality remained strong and now with four children to dress, value for money is even more important to me.

Some of those early purchases are now on their fourth baby having been worn by both of my boys and my nephews, although I have to say clothes for baby boys are SO much nicer now that they were nine years ago. Back then it was so much blue blue blue. Thank goodness someone finally realised that parents of boys like colours too.

And even though my last baby is no longer a baby, I still can’t resist those little baby clothes and find myself heading to that section completely subconsciously. Lucky I have a new nephew coming soon!

Do you shop at Big W? Which section do you head to first?
