Trick your kids to eat healthy with dips

It’s difficult nowadays to get kids to eat healthy. It seems as though everything in our society has been saturated with sugar. Kids are getting addicted to it left and right. What’s even worse, as a parent you get less and less control over how much sweets your kids can get their hands on, at least that’s been my experience. Schools in the area even have vending machines, friends of my kids have parents that don’t exactly care what they eat at sleepovers, play dates and parties, and advertising isn’t making things easier either. Today I’d like to share with you a trick I picked up on how to get kids to eat healthy.

Trick your kids to eat healthy with dips

Getting kids to eat vegetables can be difficult. Especially if they have started digging into sugary foods that, like we have already said, are easily accessible. Eventually the kids will need to eat something healthy, like vegetables. How do you get them to do that, if they’ve gotten hooked on sweets and other sugary foods?

Easiest method that I discovered is to use dips in order to conceal the vegetable and give it more flavor. You can use yogurt dressings, ranch salads, hummus, salsa, you name it. There are plenty of options, so start experimenting to find out what your kid likes. Eventually you’ll come across a winning combination that will get your kid to eat vegetables, at least sneakily. However, it would be best if you managed to minimize the number of sweets that your kids eat. To prevent them getting hooked on them. That way they will be more keen on eating healthy in the first place and you won’t have to resort to tricks like using dips. All the best. Kate.
