Have you ever had a problem where your kid starts drawing on walls and ruining the paint job or that freshly applied wallpaper? Well then you might need add a whiteboard to your kids room. My youngest seems to be going through the, “hey lets draw on walls phase”, right now, and ever since we bought him a whiteboard, with differently colored sharpies, the incidents where he paints the walls have completely stopped.

How successful you’re going to be in preventing your kid drawing on the walls will depend on your kid. With ours we had success. Yours might not be that keen on switching to the whiteboard, 🙂 . If they have their eyes set on drawing on the wall, they are going to be doing that. In that case, what you need to do is some good old fashioned parenting and say no. Scary thing, I know.
A whiteboard isn’t just interesting because the kids will stop drawing on the wall. It’s also interesting because it is going to open up their creative side. They can easily draw and erase, you or their older brothers and sisters can teach them to trace numbers or letters. The whole family could get in on the fun. Just make sure that you buy a slightly bigger whiteboard. They aren’t that expensive, and their return on investment in walls saved and creativity generated makes it more than worthwhile to spend that kind of money. Let me know if it helped.
